About Us

eFloor is a 2nd generation flooring store. In March 1960, Ron Kashin began selling carpet for St. Clair Rug. In 1967, Ron opened a store of his own on Yonge Street called Brand Name Carpets and sampled it with carpet from various mills.

When the business grew, Ron moved to 3701 Keele Street where his original 1,200 sq. ft quickly expanded to 6,500 sq. ft. Ron’s Brand Name Carpets became the first carpet store to reverse remnants and sell them both to the wholesale and retail market. In 1980, Ron moved the business to 3677 Keele Street, with this needed expansion, the 40,000 sq. ft. housed retail carpets, mats and washables that he sold to mass merchants such as Canadian Tire and K-Mart. In 1982, Ron along wit his wife Marion introduced custom carved carpets, and transformed the business to retail, commercial corridors, and suite replacements.

In 1993, after graduating with a business degree from university, Ron's son Aaron, decided to enter the carpet arena. In 1998, Aaron saw that the industry was changing directions and with the coupled reality of a changing market, he decided to incorporate the valuable assets Brand Name Carpet possessed, and opened eFloor in the Design District. With over 20 years experience in the flooring industry, Aaron has a unique aptitude for taking the needs of his clients to intrinsically match products to suit all types of flooring projects.

Over the past 52 years, the Kashin evolution in flooring has transitioned from dealing solely in carpet to becoming a leader in hardwood and specialty flooring.
